When Wendy was a child, she was terrified of speaking in front of a class, so it is interesting that she has found her life’s work in teaching. In addition to her training as a teacher, a poet, an expressive arts educational facilitator and a Reiki Master, she is also a certified Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach and a Certified Applied Poetry Facilitator. However, Wendy's deep love for inspiring others to discover the poetry of their lives springs from her passion for creating a space in which creativity can flourish and be shared.
Poetry flows through every part of Wendy's life. She loves to incorporate poetry into her workshops, classes, presentations, and coaching experiences, whether through reading poem a poem or inviting clients to write or respond to one. Poetry, like music, has a language all its own. Metaphors can help open doors to deep personal insights and universal meanings. Connecting to oneself and to others through metaphoric language can be a powerful means for opening doors to deep insights and universal meanings.

Wendy believes everyone has a need to be creative, even people who say that they are not, or believe that their creativity may be stunted or blocked. People feel alive when they are creative, and Wendy is clear to clarify that “creative” can mean anything. It doesn’t necessarily mean painting or writing a novel, it can mean using intuition to fulfill any dream and to open a door to the moment and express themselves. In other words, see the poetry in themselves every day.
Wendy thinks of herself as a "creativity energizer" She works with people to help them get past fears, find courage to take that first step, then the next, and the next. a tiny little step, which is a primary technique in Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching. Creating a tiny step that is no longer overwhelming. In addition to Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching, Wendy loves to call upon a variety of modalities and approaches to help people connect to their creative natures. Her work often connects to patterns of belief from childhood and releasing the ways that you might be holding yourself back. Her work is grounded in the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: “Do one thing every day that scares you.” Wendy knows the difference that “one thing” can make.
Play is also a big part of Wendy's work as she believes that we all have a playful creative spark in each of us. She says, “Play knocks down barriers of fear, and it allows us to focus on process, rather than product.” As a teacher of young children to children of all ages (adults), she knows the importance of meeting fear where it is and transforming it to something creative. Wendy’s message to you is, even if you feel like you don’t know what you’re doing, even if you don’t know how, you can move forward. You can take steps into momentum, into motion, and into the poetry of your life.
